Carbon Fiber iPad Case version 2.0

We are excited to release our updated (and certainly improved) version 2.0 of our carbon fiber iPad sleeve. We tried to listen to our customers when making the improvements.  We of course kept our high gloss finish on the carbon fiber iPad case, as almost everyone really loved it.  Many asked for a better liner, one that allowed for easier installation and removal of the iPad as well as a nicer look.  For this we have updated the liner material as well as moved to a completely die cut liner so each edge is perfectly cut to line up. 

We have also completely changed the strap and closure mechanism.  Now instead of velcro we have added a genuine leather top strap as well as magnetic clasp for secure closer. 

We feel the new strap really adds to the class and sophistication of the iPad case and the updated liner makes the case much easier to utilize it's features. We hope you do too! New Photos of Carbon Fiber iPad Cases Samples

Many of you have been asking to see more "real life" photos of the carbon fiber iPad case samples so here are a few.  These are a few quick shots of the samples for the 3k Plain weave prototypes.  More photos coming soon.

Please note the production version of the iPad case will have a slightly different carbon fiber fabric weave. The production iPad cases will have a 3k Twill weave.

Our first production carbon fiber iPad cases right out of the mold

Production of our first batch of carbon fiber cases for the Apple iPad is well underway and the first few cases are rolling out of the molds.

Here are some photos of our first production carbon fiber iPad cases coming right out of the mold.  Next these cases will be trimmed and hand finished before heading off to be clear coated with our toughened high-gloss finish.  Finally the oh so soft neoprene liner will be installed along with the secure strap.

 

Hopefully you guys are all as excited about the new Apple iPad release as we are.  We have several in the office and have been having a great time playing with them. Sounds like the iPhone OS 4.0 software will be a nice upgrade as well in the fall.
