PreOrder Shipments, Release Dates, and More CF iPhone 3G / 3GS case Details

Well we finally heard back from our engineering and sales team today to get some firm dates and pricing. According to our engineering and production guys we will be shipping all pre-orders on Wednesday July 29th.  This is a few days after our original projection but we are confident these great carbon fiber cases will be worth the wait.

Good news for those who have pre-ordered or those who are interested in pre-ordering, we will be honoring and extending our pre-order pricing ($84.99) up until July 29th.  We will then be adjusting our pricing on our new carbon fiber iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS cases to $95.99 

The general sale release and shipping will take place a few weeks after we take care of our pre-order customers, on Monday August 17th.

We also have some new pictures to better explain the difference between the Unidirectional Carbon Fiber and the Original Plain Weave Carbon Fiber.

The Unidirectional carbon fiber case is on the bottom, notice all of the carbon fibers are running in one direction across the case.  The Original Plain Weave carbon fiber case is on the top and you'll see the carbon fibers are woven over and under each other in a hatch pattern.

Both cases are made with 4 layers of carbon fiber and provide incredible strength, especially for such a light weight case.  This two piece case model (dubbed the "stealth") will fit both the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS as they are identicle in size.  Ofcourse our carbon fiber cases are still padded with supple neoprene liners to reduce scratching and improve impact resistance.  And as always with each carbon fiber case we sell, we provide one of our D-shield protect screen film, a microfiber polishing cloth, and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

(as a note* we will not be producing the previous model of iPhone 3G cases any longer. All pre-orders are for the newly designed "stealth" iPhone 3GS / 3G cases )

New Carbon Fiber Cases for the NEW iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G!

After being completely out of our carbon fiber cases for over a month we finally have new cases on the way.  These new cases will be a much improved two piece slider design which we had codenamed "stealth".  Each piece had been made as a continues carbon structure, so there are no seams and no bonded edges.  This new manufacturing process has drastically increased the durability and longevity of our carbon fiber cases.

As always our carbon cases with be lined with premium neoprene for great impact protection and coated with our toughened high gloss coating. (**please note the pictures shown are JUST SAMPLES and do not have the neoprene liner installed or the final high gloss coating applied. We just wanted to give our loyal customers a heads up as to what is coming.)

These cases will fit the present iPhone 3G as well as the new iPhone 3GS that will be released June 19th.  Our new CF cases will begin shipping in mid July and will be available in our original woven carbon as well as our new Unidirectional Carbon.  More Pictures will be available here and on our site ( www.droconcepts.com ) in the next 48 hours.

After a long time in development we are very excited to release our new product... Tortoise Skin for iPhone 3G.

Tortoise Skin is our first venture into polymer protection for the iPhone 3G. The unique Tortoise shell design is inspired by one of the toughest animals around and we have backed that up by utilizing our proprietary Silicon-Hybrid Polymer(SHP). Our SHP material protects more, picks up less and provides a greater resistance to tearing and stretching than standard silicon. All offered in seven original PANTONE Colors.

Postal service servers down again, WE ARE STILL SHIPPING!

We have chosen to switch over to flat rate fees for our shipping costs for the next few days.  We have changed over to a service that is based on the weight of the packages and the current USPS price charts.  It should work just fine for multiple orders as well as single orders.  If you experience problems please let us know.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.  We will refund any overage on shipping charges that happen to occur.  In the mean time we are working on switching completely over to UPS for all our shipping services.

Thank you everyone for your patience while we addressed this problem.  We are very glad to let you know that all of our checkout system is back up and running.  :)

problems with order checkout...?

We have been notified by some of our customers that there have been some problems checking out.  We have looked into the situation and are working on correcting everything.  The main problem seems to be with the postal service and their servers.  It looks like they have been down for about 6 hours and cannot calculate the shipping charges for DRO.  We have filed several support cases with our shopping cart service and hopefully this will be remedied by morning.  Again we apologize for this situation, and thank you for your patience.
